So why can't I search for a 10 bedroom that sleeps 20? Local laws. In 2017, Palm Springs passed an ordinance that caps occupancy at any single vacation rental at 12 overnight guests, regardless of whether that rental has more than 6 bedrooms or has several adjacent properties. So, when you search for a group of 13 or more on listing sites, you won't get the results that you are looking for.
