Plan the Perfect Palm Springs Girls Trip - 10 Steps

1. Find a rental house that can accommodate your group (legally!)

In Palm Springs, vacation rentals can sleep 2 people per bedroom. So, if you have 10, you need a 5 bedroom. 12? That's a 6 bedroom.

At Palms at Park, we designed and built stunning 5+ bedroom mid-mod villas right in the best part of town. Every bedroom has it's own private bathroom -- you read that right -- and there's a fabulous pool and plenty of spots to soak up the Palm Springs sunshine. We may have villas available for your Palm Springs Girls Weekend! Call 760-558-7100 or book online right here →

2. Start a Pinterest board to brainstorm ideas for the trip

Why take on all the planning yourself? Now is the perfect time to let everyone contribute and crowdsource an incredible long weekend itinerary. There's so much to see and do in Palm Springs, you may have to edit to squeeze in enough time for those poolside cocktails!

3. Book massages and spa treatments

It's important to get ahead of the crowd because the best providers' schedules fill up early. Palms at Park has insider tips for the top massages in Palm Springs on our short list for Palms at Park guests.

4. Get the perfect pair of sunnies

If there's one thing that Palm Springs has plenty of, it's beautiful unobstructed sunshine. Hit the shops downtown for the perfect look on day 1 of your trip. You’ll be glad you did!

5. Stay hydrated with refreshing drinks

I can't tell you how many times we've sampled this Strawberry Jalapeno Margarita, but it's always a hit.

The jalapenos are spicy enough to cut through the sweetness of the strawberries and sugar in the margarita, but not so spicy that they make your face burn. It looks like spring (and summer) in a shimmering poolside tumbler.

6. Go on a hike one day with plenty of water bottles packed

Our favorite hiking spot is just 5 short minutes from your Palms at Park villa or 5 Palms Estate. Indian Canyons is a nature preserve protected by the local tribe and the Palm Canyon trail winds through not only the best views I've seen in Palm Springs but also a natural oasis of Palm Trees and, if you're lucky, a roaring stream. Stay hydrated and take it slow. Once you've earned a cocktail, it's time to head back to the pool.

7. Reserve a spot at a popular restaurant for dinner on Saturday night

There is no shortage of amazing restaurants in Palm Springs so you will have plenty of choices. Among our current faves is Bar Cecil, the hottest table in town for inventive fare and excellent service. You can't go wrong with The Tropicale for a lively group dinner on the outdoor patio. It's my favorite for large groups

8. Have Sunday Brunch at the Ace Hotel & Swim Club

The pool here is magnificent and there are plenty of cabanas to relax in while you wait for a table. We usually order a pitcher of their lovely dry rose and sip it slowly (or quickly!) as the sun shines on the glimmering pool and mountains beyond.

The Ace regularly hosts parties and events poolside. Here’s the Ace Hotel Events calendar for Palm Springs.

9. Shop in the vintage shops in downtown Palm Springs

No one knows where to find the best vintage finds like Trina Turk, but this weekend window shopping is a must. There are so many treasures to discover in Palm Springs -- we have never left empty-handed!
